Brazil futures, dollar and corporate news in focus
The Ibovespa futures contract (INDQ26, expiring August 19, 2026) opened higher on Tuesday, rising 0.35% to 175,115 points by 9:38 AM. While considered an indicator of potential market direction, this index does not always predict the conditions that will shape trading from 10:00 AM.
The commercial dollar was slightly lower at 9:35 AM, down 0.01% to R$ 5.134 on the sell side. Brent crude oil rose 0.81% to US$ 72.5. Brent is the benchmark for Petrobras. Gold (contract for February 2026, troy ounce) increased 0.21% to US$ 4,176.
In daytime trading, the iron ore futures contract on the Dalian exchange in China closed down 0.47% at 735.5 yuan (US$ 108.2). This price can affect shares of Brazilian companies Vale (VALE3) and CSN Mineração (CMIN3). The contract price may still fluctuate in the coming hours.
On Wall Street at 9:32 AM, Dow Jones futures were up 0.29%, while S&P 500 futures were down 0.14%. Nasdaq futures fell 0.90%.
Aegea Saneamento e Participações, an investee of Itaúsa (ITSA4), called an extraordinary general meeting to deliberate on a capital increase totaling between R$ 1.5 billion and R$ 2.1 billion, through the issuance of new common shares of Aegea at R$ 55.29 per share.
In a material fact released to the market on Tuesday, Itaúsa stated that, depending on how other shareholders exercise their respective rights, it may subscribe, within a 30-day period, an amount between approximately R$ 730 million and R$ 1.5 billion. The funds to be allocated by Itaúsa for the capitalization of Aegea will come from the holding company’s cash availability, and no material effects on its results for this fiscal year are expected, the company said in the material fact.
“The increase in Itaúsa’s shareholding in Aegea is aligned with its strategy of efficient capital allocation, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to creating value for shareholders, investees, and society,” the holding company said. Itaúsa’s total stake in Aegea is currently 13.27%.
Vale (VALE3) received a letter on Monday from Daniel André Stieler resigning from his positions as member and chairman of the company’s board of directors, effective immediately. “Vale’s board of directors records its gratitude to Mr. Stieler for his leadership, dedication, and contributions to the company during his term as a board member since 2021 and, especially, as its chairman since 2023,” the mining company said in a material fact.
According to Vale, during this period, Stieler’s work was essential for strengthening corporate governance, continuously improving the board’s work, and making strategic decisions that contributed to sustainable value generation, institutional strengthening, and consolidation of the company’s long-term vision. As a result of this action, item 1 of the agenda for the Extraordinary General Meeting called for July 22, 2026, becomes void, Vale said in the material fact, noting that the other items remain unchanged for shareholder deliberation.
On June 11, shareholder Previ requested the convening of an extraordinary general meeting of Vale shareholders to deliberate on the removal of Daniel André Stieler from the position of board member and the appointment of José Mauricio Pereira Coelho as a full board member to complete the current term. On the same date, Previ also declared support for the appointment of Manuel Lino Silva de Sousa Oliveira (Ollie) to the position of chairman of Vale’s board of directors.
Petrobras (PETR3, PETR4) received two new installments of the economic subsidy program for the commercialization of diesel oil, in the amounts of R$ 1.2 billion, corresponding to the period from April 20 to 30, 2026, and R$ 1.5 billion, corresponding to the period from May 1 to 15, 2026. The total accumulated amount received by Petrobras to date is approximately R$ 4.7 billion.
Moura Dubeux (MDNE3) released its operational preview for the second quarter of 2026. Net sales and subscriptions volume (%MD) in the second quarter was R$ 1.015 billion, a decrease of 14.9% compared to the second quarter of 2025 and 1.8% compared to the first quarter of 2026. In the second quarter, the company launched six projects totaling a Gross VGV (General Sales Value) of R$ 1.039 billion and a Net VGV of R$ 1.012 billion. These amounts represent decreases of 58.1% and 45.7%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Total cancellations in the quarter were R$ 72 million, representing 6.7% of Gross Sales and Subscriptions (%MD) in the second quarter. The company reported cash generation of R$ 28.2 million in the second quarter. These operational results are preliminary and still subject to audit review.
Moura Dubeux announced that the payment of the third and fourth installments of dividends will be made on July 14, 2026, in the amount of R$ 100 million, referring to part of the total dividend amount declared by the company on December 29, 2025. The company will pay dividends totaling R$ 1.18367018554 per common share (corresponding to the sum of the third and fourth installments), based on the shareholder position as of December 30, 2025.
Enjoei (ENJU3) stated that it will take the necessary measures to bring its share price back to the minimum level of R$ 1.00. B3, the Brazilian stock exchange, reported that on June 11, 2026, the share price of Enjoei fell below R$ 1.00 per unit, restarting the countdown for adopting measures to bring the price back to the minimum level. The new deadline ends on August 11, 2026. Among the measures, if necessary, the company highlighted a proposal to the board of directors to call an Extraordinary General Meeting to deliberate on a reverse stock split.
Banco Santander Brasil (SANB11) reported on Monday that over the past two months, it issued subordinated financial bills (Letras Financeiras), whose proceeds will be used to compose Level II of the company’s Reference Equity, in a total aggregate amount of R$ 1.386 billion, in negotiations with private investors. The financial bills have a maturity of 10 years with a repurchase option starting in 2031, according to applicable regulations. The financial bills are authorized to compose the Capital Level II of the company’s Reference Equity, impacting its Level II capitalization ratio.
WEG (WEGE3) announced the schedule for releasing its second quarter 2026 results. Results will be released on July 22, 2026, before the market opens. A conference call to present the results will be held on July 23, 2026, in Portuguese with simultaneous translation into English. The conference call will be at 11:00 AM (São Paulo time).
B3 pays interest on equity this Tuesday, approved on June 18, in a total amount of R$ 356 million, equivalent to a gross amount of R$ 0.07 per share. The net amount is R$ 0.05 per share. B3 also pays on the 7th the amount of R$ 750 million in extraordinary interest on equity, equivalent to a gross amount of R$ 0.14 per share. The net amount is R$ 0.12 per share. The cutoff date was June 24.
Blau Farmacêutica pays interest on equity this Tuesday, referring to the second quarter of 2026. The gross amount to be paid per share is R$ 0.07, subject to withholding income tax at a rate of 17.5%. The payment will be made based on the shareholder position as of June 25, 2026.
