Brazil names Eduardo Oliveira as new Qualicorp CEO
The board of directors of Qualicorp (QUAL3) approved the start of a structured succession process for its chief executive officer position during a meeting held on Friday, the 22nd. As part of this plan, Maurício Lopes, the company’s current CEO, will assume the role of chairman of the board of directors starting August 31, 2026. He will be succeeded as CEO by Eduardo Oliveira, the company’s current vice president.
Until the succession takes effect, Eduardo Oliveira will serve as executive vice president, working closely with the current CEO. Qualicorp stated in a material fact that under Maurício Lopes’ leadership, the company has consolidated a consistent turnaround cycle over the past three years. This cycle was marked by a strategy focused on greater operational efficiency, realignment of commercial operations, and growth in the product portfolio. The company said these elements led to the creation of a value generation flywheel that became central to the company’s management.
The announced transition aims to preserve, deepen, and continue this movement, according to Qualicorp. The company added that Eduardo Oliveira has experienced different cycles at Qualicorp during his six years at the company. As vice president for the last three years, he played a relevant role in designing and executing the ongoing turnaround plan, directly participating in the main areas that make up the current strategic agenda.
During the period leading up to August 31, 2026, Eduardo Oliveira, as executive vice president, will take on a significant portion of the company’s operational responsibilities. He will work in close partnership with Maurício Lopes, who will maintain executive functions until the succession is completed. Murilo Ramos Neto, the current chairman who led Qualicorp’s turnaround process on the board of directors, will become vice chairman of the board.
