Brazil JCP cutoff date for Cemig, Embraer, Copasa, Lojas Renner is Tuesday
Tuesday, June 23, is the cutoff date for shareholders to qualify for interest on equity payments from four Brazilian companies: Cemig, Embraer, Copasa, and Lojas Renner. Starting Wednesday, June 24, shares of these companies will trade without the right to these payments.
For Cemig, the gross amount per share is R$ 0.22. The payment will be made in two equal installments. The first is due by June 30, 2027, and the second by December 30, 2027. Shareholders holding both common and preferred shares are eligible.
For Lojas Renner, the total gross value is R$ 220,421,280.83, which corresponds to R$ 0.22 per share. Payment is scheduled to begin on July 14, 2026.
For Embraer, the value is R$ 0.28 per common share. The payment will be made on May 24, 2027.
For Copasa, the amount per share is R$ 0.37. Payment is set for August 17, 2026.
All four companies announced the interest on equity on June 18. These payments are a common way for Brazilian companies to distribute profits to shareholders, often offering tax benefits compared to dividends. Investors who bought shares before the cutoff date are entitled to receive the payments, while those purchasing on or after the ex-date will not.
