Brazil Unifique buys Santa Catarina internet provider

Unifique (FIQE3) announced on Wednesday that it has reached an agreement to acquire G9 Telecomunicações.

G9 has operated since 2018 as an internet service provider, serving residential and corporate customers in the city of Pomerode, state of Santa Catarina. The company has approximately 2,981 active fiber optic connections.

Unifique stated that the deal involves the purchase of the client portfolio and a lease agreement for network infrastructure with a future purchase option. The transaction does not involve a transfer of control or equity stake.

The base acquisition price was set at R$ 6.33 million.

According to the company, the acquisition is part of its strategy to grow and consolidate its fiber optic customer base in Santa Catarina, as well as to expand its fiber optic transport infrastructure. This expansion is aimed at implementing Radio Base Stations for the 5G mobile personal service.
